The Nottinghamshire: City & County Employment and Skills Board, is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to apply to deliver the Fit for Work, Working for Health programme across Nottingham City and Ashfield and Mansfield.

- Delivery in Nottingham City £94,000
- Delivery in Ashfield and Mansfield £66,000
The Fit for Work Service is based upon the evidence for in-work support which has been recently highlighted in the cross Department of Health and Department of Work and Pensions research “What works at Work” and Working for a Healthier Tomorrow” (2008)
The government’s response “Improving Health and Work: Changing Lives (2008) outlines a number of key initiatives including several pilots for early intervention services of which the Fit for Work Service is one.
The Nottinghamshire: City & County Employment and Skills Board has been successful in becoming one of the 11 pilots for the Fit for Work Service and the Greater Nottingham Partnership is commissioning several new areas of work related to this, on the ESB’s behalf. The Working for Health programme forms an important part of the service.
Providers will need to deliver assessments of workplace health needs to SME’s using a diagnostic tool and provide brokerage support.
