NCCESB & DNCC: Business And Employment Chiefs Welcome Drop In Unemployment

The role of the Health and Work Steering Group (HWSG) is to lead on the delivery of a joint strategy on behalf of its ‘parent partnerships'- the Nottinghamshire Employment and Skills Board (NCCESB) and ONE Nottingham (via its theme partnerships- the Working Nottingham Partnership and the Nottingham City Health & Wellbeing Partnership).
The joint Health and Work strategy aims to:
Building on these two key aims, the Health and Work strategy will seek to:

- Mental health problems;
- Drug/Alcohol dependency;
- Ex-offenders;
- BME's;
- Parents with young families; and
- Learning difficulties
Membership
In order to help focus on the strategic role of the group, the HWSG has a small core membership made up of the partners with direct interest in enabling the successful delivery of the key responsibilities.
Wider involvement is critical however, and a range of service providers, professionals and providers are invited/will be invited at set stages.
