NCCESB & DNCC: Business And Employment Chiefs Welcome Drop In Unemployment
NCCESB and Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce's reaction to the Labour Market Stats released 16th May 2012.
In February 2010, a partnership of learning providers from across Nottinghamshire came together to deliver a weekend festival of informal adult learning: The Nottinghamshire Loves Learning ‘Big Learning Weekend'. The festival ran over fours days, offering over 200 events, embracing over 130 providers from the public, private and third sectors, and engaging thousands of adult learners.
This event was made possible by a grant of £209,000 from the Transformation Fund. Development of the programme began in September 2009, when the North Nottinghamshire PCDL Planning Partnership and the Greater Nottingham Adult and Community Learning Partnership came together for the Nottinghamshire Loves Learning Coordination Group. The Group, led by the Greater Nottinghamshire Partnership, was made up of a range of enthusiastic learning providers, primarily from the county-wide network of colleges, with representatives from third sector learning organisations, the City and County Libraries Services, Nottingham City Council Family Learning Team and the Nottinghamshire County Council Adult and Community Learning Service.
As part of the legacy of the Big Learning Weekend, an evaluation of the project is now available for you to download (links open in a new window):
