The Employment and Skills team are independent facilitators working with local learning, skills and employment organisations to maximise opportunities for joint working. The team provides executive support to the Nottinghamshire: City and County Employment and Skills Board. They aim, in partnership with others, to address both current and future learning, employment and skills needs throughout the conurbation.

Key objectives involve developing and sustaining partnership infrastructures, increasing levels of skills supply and demand, and bringing coherence and co-ordination to post-16 learning and employability initiatives. A central focus to all partnership activity is tackling the problems of engaging and progressing learners from Nottinghamshire's most disadvantaged wards.
