Nottinghamshire Working and Skilled

In July 2009 the Board approved recommendations made by partners for establishing a Nottinghamshire ESB. Following this decision, the Employment and Skills team at Greater Nottingham Partnership (GNP) conducted an extensive consultation exercise with Board members covering the essential ground for a new strategic plan. Consultants were commissioned to review the approach to encouraging economic development through a sector planning approach, whilst Experian were tasked to review labour market intelligence, extending work already carried out for the Nottingham Economic Resilience Forum. This work would enable the ESB to understand the role that sectors play in serving different needs of the economy and the labour market.
This has all helped to inform the development of the ESBs new strategy:
